The number of treatments and any repeat treatment are planned according to your skin's starting condition and your goals. We allow time for the results to develop before assessing the next steps.

Some people notice improved firmness soon after treatment. Results develop gradually, usually over around 2–3 months. The outcome and how long it lasts vary between individuals.

Tell us about dermal fillers and other injectable treatments before your appointment. We do not perform HIFU in an area containing filler. The appropriate treatment sequence is assessed individually.

HIFU directs ultrasound energy through the skin's surface into tissue layers. RF microneedling combines needles with radiofrequency energy. The choice depends on your skin's condition and your goals.

Avoid strenuous exercise that causes sweating, saunas and sunbathing on the day of treatment. Follow the individual aftercare instructions provided by your therapist.

Your skin may look red and feel tender. Swelling, bruising or temporary numbness may also occur. The duration of symptoms varies. Contact the clinic if symptoms are severe, worsen or concern you.

For example, treatment is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, on broken or inflamed skin, or on clients with a pacemaker or another electronic implant. Tell us about medical conditions, medications, implants and previous treatments. Medications affecting blood clotting, diabetes, epilepsy and autoimmune conditions are among the factors that require an individual suitability assessment. This is not an exhaustive list.

You can usually wear make-up after HIFU treatment. If your skin is irritated or your therapist advises otherwise, follow your individual instructions.

How long results last depends on your skin's starting condition, your individual response and ageing. Treatment does not stop the ageing process. The need for repeat treatment is assessed once the results have developed; there is no single treatment interval for everyone.

We cannot guarantee a specific visible outcome. Treatment response varies between individuals. Before treatment, we assess what can realistically be achieved from your starting point and whether another treatment might be more suitable.

Before HIFU, tell us the name and date of your injectable treatment and which areas were treated. The interval and sequence are assessed according to the product used and the treatment area. The price depends on the device, the size of the treatment area and what the treatment includes. When comparing options, consider the therapist's training and experience, the technology used, and how suitability and aftercare are assessed. At Kuulas, Ultraformer III and Caretech 7D++ treatments have separate price lists.

Both use focused ultrasound, but they are different devices. At Kuulas, Ultraformer III is used for the face, jawline, neck and décolletage. Selected treatments with Caretech 7D++ remain available under its own price list. The suitable option is chosen according to your skin, tissue and goals.
