Tience – supporting the skin's own renewal

Developed in Finland, Tience supports skin wellbeing, normal skin function and natural renewal. The aim is more vital-looking, supple skin, a smoother texture and softer fine lines. At Kuulas, Tience treatment is carried out alongside SkinPen microneedling as part of an individual treatment plan.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Treatment may be considered for skin that has lost elasticity, dry or uneven skin, or as part of an acne scar treatment plan. It is intended for adults.

Tience is not a dermal filler and is not intended to contour the face like one. Your skin's starting condition and goals determine whether treatment combined with microneedling is suitable for you.

Finnish biotechnology in skincare

Tience is a cell-free preparation made from human adipose tissue. It contains bioactive compounds that support skin renewal, including proteins, peptides, lipids and antioxidants.

The raw material is collected from screened donors through a controlled process. The preparation contains no living cells. The method differs from PRP, which uses plasma separated from the client's own blood.

What happens during your visit

We first assess your skin and agree on the areas to be treated. At Kuulas, Tience treatment is carried out alongside SkinPen microneedling. We select a suitable treatment when you book and tailor the plan to each area.

Tience can also be used in injection treatments performed by a separately agreed healthcare professional. Microneedling and injection treatments differ in their delivery, prices and practitioners, so the correct service is selected when booking.

Results and client experiences

Changes in skin quality develop gradually. They may become visible over weeks, and skin renewal continues for longer. Swelling immediately after treatment does not indicate the final result.

The number of sessions and follow-up are agreed individually. The starting conditions of scars, lines and dryness differ, and the same change cannot be promised to everyone.

Tience alongside microneedling (1.5 ml)

Venla performed a Dermapen treatment with Tience for me at Kuulas on 16 March. As Tience's effects take time, I am deliberately writing this review just over two months later. I am an experienced Dermapen client; the treatment is not relaxing, but what wouldn't you do for supple skin? I am wary of invasive treatments that change natural features, so when Venla told me about Tience, I was immediately interested: giving a little help to the body's own skin-renewing processes. Usually, Dermapen requires at least 2–3 days of recovery for me. After Tience, my skin immediately felt calm and hydrated. Perhaps it was a placebo effect, but my upper lip felt fuller straight after treatment. Now, two months later, my skin looks vital and even in tone. Fine lines under my eyes have softened, as have my nasolabial folds. I can warmly recommend Tience alongside Dermapen.

Skincare and recovery

After microneedling, the skin may be red, warm and swollen. Follow your cleansing, moisturising and sun protection instructions, and avoid rubbing the skin or using strong active ingredients during recovery.

Aftercare also depends on the method used. Injection treatments may cause needle marks and bruising, for example. You will receive instructions suited to your treatment at the appointment.
