Kuulas peel – first treatment
An excellent, reassuring treatment experience that took my individual needs into account. Thank you, Jessica
Hoitola Kuulas · Helsinki
A professional peel renews the skin's surface in a controlled way. At Kuulas, treatment is selected for your skin: the aim may be a brighter appearance, smoother texture, fewer impurities or softer fine lines.
A peel may be suitable for dull, rough, congested or uneven-toned skin. We select treatment according to your skin's thickness, tolerance and current condition.
If skin is dry and irritated, its protective barrier often needs support before exfoliation. A stronger acid is not the answer to every concern. We plan progress so your skin has time to recover.
Kuulas uses professional products from ranges including Optiphi and Bioskin. The product, application time and treatment intensity are selected individually.
Acids encourage dead cells to shed from the skin's surface. Depending on the method, treatment focuses on concerns such as surface texture, congestion or brighter tone. Acid and retinol peels are not all the same treatment, so aftercare instructions can also differ.
At your first visit, we assess your skin and plan a course. The first Kuulas peel includes cleansing, the selected peel and an LED stage, as well as two home skincare products.
Allow around 45 minutes for your first visit. Follow-up treatments usually take around 20–30 minutes. The course progresses according to your skin's recovery and the agreed goal.
Select your treatment area or package. Available appointments and further service details are shown in the booking system.
Your skin's surface may feel softer once it has recovered. Changes in tone, impurities and fine lines are assessed over a longer period.
Kuulas offers a four-treatment course. A plan of around eight weeks may suit many clients, but the peel used and your skin's response determine the final schedule.

Yes, although a course may be more appropriate for longer-term improvement in tone or texture. We agree on a plan based on your skin.
Suitability depends on the cause of sensitivity and your skin's condition. Actively irritated skin may first need soothing care.
It may form part of a plan for uneven tone. The nature and cause of pigmentation must be assessed, and sun protection is essential. Suspicious skin lesions need a doctor's assessment.
This depends on the treatment. Light flaking or more noticeable peeling is possible, but not all peels cause visible shedding.
Tingling, warmth or stinging are possible. Your therapist monitors the skin's response and adjusts treatment when needed.
