Dermapen Cryo – targeted treatment for small skin lesions
A small skin lesion may affect your appearance or rub against clothing. Dermapen Cryo uses targeted cold treatment for suitable lesions assessed as benign. The most important first step is establishing what is being treated.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
Treatment may be suitable for some small, benign skin lesions, such as certain skin tags and age-related surface changes. A photograph or your own assessment alone cannot establish suitability.
A changing, bleeding, asymmetrical or otherwise suspicious lesion needs a doctor's assessment. Cold treatment is not a substitute for diagnosis, and not all moles or pigmentation changes are treated at the clinic.
A local cold effect on a defined area
Cryo treatment directs cold precisely at the assessed lesion. The area and technique depend on its size, location and type.
The aim is to treat a defined spot while taking the surrounding skin into account. As with other treatments that remove skin tissue, cold treatment carries a possibility of pigment changes and scarring.
What happens during your visit
We examine the lesion and ask about its history: when it appeared and whether it has changed or caused symptoms. If the diagnosis is unclear, we refer you to a doctor before treatment.
A lesion deemed suitable is treated locally. You receive instructions on keeping the area clean, protecting it and monitoring healing. The treatment options are divided by the number of lesions treated.

Results and client experiences
The treated spot may become red, swollen, blistered or scabbed. The lesion comes away and the skin evens out as healing progresses.
One session is not always enough. The outcome and need for repeat treatment are assessed only once the area has healed. Skin colour may recover more slowly than the treated spot itself.
Skincare and recovery
Keep the area clean and follow the protection instructions provided. Do not burst blisters, pick scabs or rub the area. Protect healing skin from the sun.
Contact us if pain or redness increases, the area develops pus or healing differs from the guidance you received. If the lesion grows back or changes appearance, it needs reassessment.
