Hifu frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Hifu Treatment
Question: Does the treatment hurt?
Answer: The treatment feels like a slight tingling, and few find the treatment painful. None of our clients have interrupted the treatment due to pain.
Question: What are the restrictions on the day of treatment?
Answer: After the treatment, it is not recommended to engage in strenuous exercise, use a sauna, sweat in general, or sunbathe.
Question: How will I look after the treatment?
Answer: Some may experience slight redness on the treated area, but it subsides in less than half an hour. Rarely, but in some cases, small bruises may appear.
Question: When can I apply makeup?
Answer: You can apply makeup immediately after the treatment.
Question: When will the results be visible?
Answer: Some may see and feel significant results immediately. Generally, the effects gradually appear up to three months.
Question: How long does the effect last?
Answer: The effect of Hifu gradually diminishes with aging. The interval for possible repeat treatments is largely determined individually and according to the client's goals.
Question: Can you guarantee visible results?
Answer: Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee certain results or that you will be 100% satisfied. The treatment is influenced by genetic factors and various deficiencies in the body. If you haven't taken care of your body and skin in recent years, we recommend starting with other treatments at Kuulas to prepare your skin to benefit more from the HIFU treatment.
Question: I have had Botox, when can I have a Hifu treatment?
Answer: It is advisable to wait at least two weeks after Botox.
Question: I have had fillers, when can I have a Hifu treatment?
Answer: It is not recommended to perform Hifu on areas with fillers. A good order is to have Hifu first and then the filler treatment.
Question: Why do Hifu treatment prices vary so much?
Answer: It is difficult for us to comment on the pricing of different companies, but at least ensure the following:
- The treatment provider is a SKY cosmetologist, nurse, or doctor
- The treatment provider has undergone training by the device manufacturer or importer. An untrained provider can cause damage at worst.
- The device is preferably purchased from a Finnish importer and meets European safety standards. Our device is purchased from the Finnish company Cosmedi Oy. Please note that Hifu devices are sold, for example, from Chinese online stores, and these devices sold directly to consumers cannot be compared to those designed for professional use
- The treatment is always performed at two different depths during one session. Sometimes special offers may involve only one round, leaving the treatment incomplete.
