The handmade very small brown basket with a leather loop is made of paper. Paper is a beautiful and environmentally friendly material that can also be recycled.
"The paper we use is unbleached. The paper makes the baskets light but at the same time durable. We have developed the paper together with a local factory to create a durable and versatile material for many purposes."

White and Black
The handmade very small white and black basket with a leather loop is made of recycled plastic and sisal. The basket can be used in contact with food and is easy to keep clean with water.

"Kiondo baskets made from recycled/surplus plastic are very durable and even withstand water, which is why they can be used in various spaces and conditions and are easy to clean after use. They can also be used outdoors, such as on terraces and balconies. The plastic meets food-grade quality requirements, so the baskets can also be used in table settings. Sisal is a durable natural fiber that also grows in dry and hot areas, and no chemical fertilizers are used in its production. Compared to other natural fibers typically used in weaving, such as jute, rattan, seagrass, and water hyacinth, sisal is more durable and also antistatic. Sisal can be dyed better than seagrass or water hyacinth, so it can be used to make baskets and bags in different colors."
