Product Description

With the Hydzonator, you keep yourself and your home clean from pathogens, and it is a gentle alternative for skin disinfection. The device is of very high quality, stylish, and easy to carry with you to replace ordinary disinfectants.

If you have visited a swimming pool or have a hot tub, you have likely already enjoyed the superiority of ozone in disinfection. You may also have smelled it during a thunderstorm when lightning produces ozone from oxygen. Ozone breaks down impurities from the atmosphere, making the air fresh after a storm.

The idea of turning water into a cleaning agent without chemicals may sound like science fiction. Electrolytically generated ozone water is part of a major revolution – technology that enables better cleanliness with less chemical load.

Use of Ozone Water

Ozone water is most effective when poured directly from the device onto the target. For example, in cleaning dental braces, poured over sweat-stained sportswear to remove odors, removing pesticides from food, applied to various surfaces like countertops, hands, or other areas infected with mold or yeast. It is impossible to list all the uses of ozone water exhaustively. Ozone water helps reduce the chemical load in your environment, after which the formation of biofilms decreases. Ozone water thus improves the overall hygiene of your environment by reducing the number of pathogens. Ozone water is well-suited for cleaning microbes.

However, in cleaning grease, oil, or similar stubborn dirt, ozone water does not replace traditional detergents.

One spray from the Hydzone spray bottle produces about 1.2 ml of ozone water. That spray contains thousands of trillions of ozone molecules that clean pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, yeasts, molds, or single-celled amoebas at their target. With ozone water spray, you can effectively clean your hands without the skin-straining chemical load. Studies have found ozone water to be very effective in hand cleaning, even more effective than many alcohol-containing hand sanitizers. Unlike alcohol-based hand sanitizers, which have been found to cause dermatitis (skin rash), ozone water does not strain the skin in the same way.

Ozone Water and the Environment

The accumulation of chemical residues used in various cleaning processes on surfaces reinforces the formation of biofilms, i.e., microbial layers such as bacteria and fungi. Ozone water is water without added chemicals, and its ozone concentration halves in about 15 minutes, depending on the properties of the water used. The ozone produced by Hydzone devices is largely removed from the water about 60 minutes after generation. Only water remains – no decomposition products or chemical residues. You can regenerate the same water into ozone water again and again by pressing a button.

Ozone water reduces the chemical load on your environment without compromising cleanliness. Ozone water generated with Hydzone devices is suitable for drinking after the ozone concentration has decreased.

According to international and domestic research, ozone water can replace current chemicals used in plant protection and produce clean and safe food without chemicals.

It has already been found that ozone water can prevent plant diseases such as gray mold, powdery mildew, and leaf molds, as well as several soil-borne fungi, which have been particularly problematic in the production of strawberries or cucumbers.

Ozone water differs from other cleaning agents with its versatility. In addition to cleaning surfaces, you can safely reduce pesticide residues from grapes and other fruits, eliminate viruses and bacteria, and purify drinking water – something that cannot be done with, for example, hydrogen peroxide or alcohol-based cleaning agents. Ozone water is also effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Ozone water offers a very promising solution for future cleaning and disinfection challenges. The Covid-19 pandemic has strengthened many pathogens due to the excessive use of disinfectants. Already, antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as MRSA complicate the lives of millions of people in the form of hard-to-treat infections and other diseases. Hormone residues in wastewater cause problems for aquatic animals. Ozone water enables the reduction of chemical load and more moderate use of antibiotics for both humans and pets and livestock.

Since ozone cannot be packaged into a pill, we made the Hydzonator – an ozone water bottle – as a multifunctional device suitable for personal cleaning for various cleaning needs.

Hydzone's products have already begun to be researched for medical applications. The treatment of wounds, burns, and skin infections will become easier and faster, and most importantly, the quality of life for patients will improve thanks to ozone water devices intended for medicinal use. Maintenance of the Hydzonator Ozone Water Bottle

The Hydzonator ozone water bottle has a two-year warranty. The device's battery and electrolytic electrode have a 6-month warranty, differing from this. The battery and electrode are consumable parts whose lifespan is affected by, among other things, the proper use and maintenance of the device and the quality of tap water.

The electrode of the Hydzonator device is maintained according to the instructions provided with the device. Lime in drinking water adheres to the surface of the electrode, which is why the electrode should be cleaned with citric acid or vinegar as described in the instructions approximately every 1-3 months, depending on the amount of use. Proper use of the device extends its lifespan.

1. Does Hydzone's ozone water clean all bacteria, viruses, yeasts, and molds that ozone water comes into contact with?
A: Hydzone has achieved high efficiency against E. coli bacteria in tests by Synlab. Our subcontractor Bes Group has also tested the ozone water bottle against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, achieving a 99.99% cleaning efficiency.

2. Is the ozone produced by Hydzone dangerous when inhaled?
A: The ozone produced by Hydzone's ozone water does not release dangerous amounts of ozone gas into the air for humans. The excellence of ozone water lies precisely in the fact that when dissolved in water, there is very little ozone in the breathing air, and at the same time, ozone can be easily brought to the target to be cleaned with the help of water. The ozone gas released into the room air from the ozone water produced by Hydzone's products is a fraction of the harmless 0.05 ppm concentration limit in breathing air according to STM's guidelines, (8-hour HTP (harmful known concentration) value 0.05ppm = 106 μg/m3).

3. What detergents should I use with ozone water?
A: Ozone water is at its best without additional chemicals. The reaction efficiency of ozone water suffers from the surfactants in soaps, which reduces the cleaning efficiency of ozone water.

4. How long is ozone water usable?
Q: Depending on the cleaning target, you can typically use ozone water for 15 – 30 minutes from the moment you have generated – that is, prepared – ozone water with the bottle. You can press the button again and generate more ozone in the same water. Once generated, the water does not change in any other way during treatment except that ozone is formed in it, meaning you can prepare ozone water as many times as you want from the same water.

5. How does ozone water affect indoor air quality?
A: Ozone water cleans pathogens. The sources of indoor air problems vary, but typically allergy symptoms are related to, among other things, the metabolic products of bacteria. Ozone water is safe and effective in surface cleaning and thus reduces the total amount of microbes. According to studies, the number of hospital infections depends on the amount of harmful microbes in healthcare facilities. Already, in public space cleanings done with ozone water, a decrease in the number of infections has been observed. Now you can achieve the same effect in cleaning your home.

6. Can ozone water replace the use of antibiotics?
A: Ozone water has often solved problems for those suffering from antibiotic resistance, bringing antibiotic-resistant strains under control. In international studies, contamination by the very difficult  Clostridioides difficile  bacterium has been completely eradicated with ozone water. Microbiological cleanliness is a significant factor in reducing indoor air pathogens both at home and in public spaces such as schools.

7. Can I use ozone water as drinking water?
A: We recommend letting the ozone concentration in the water stabilize for about an hour after preparing ozone water with the Hydzone device before drinking the water. Then only minimal amounts of ozone remain in the water. There is very little research data on the effects of consuming ozone water, so we cannot comment for or against its use.

8. What is the difference between ozone water produced with a medical device and ozone water produced with a “non-medical device”?
A: Ozone water is ozone water – regardless of whether it is produced with a medical device or a non-medical device.
In certain cases, a medical device may produce ozone water with a higher ozone concentration. However, typically ozone water made with a medical device is used at about 1-2 ppm ozone concentration. 

9. Can I spray ozone water into my eyes?
A: According to international studies, ozone water is very useful in treating eye inflammations in both animals and humans.

10. I have previously used ozonated oil for my skin problem. Can I use ozone water for my skin problem?
A: According to international studies, ozone water works well in many bacterial infections and, for example, in cleaning wounds on the feet.

11. Can I use ozone water made with Hydzone for hand cleaning?
A: Yes, ozone water cleans pathogens from your hands. Depending on the contact time and concentration, studies have shown that pathogen levels on hands significantly decreased when using ozone water, reducing pathogens on the skin of the hands by over 99%.

12. Can I use ozone water on any surface?
Q: You can use ozone water practically on all surfaces where you can use regular tap water. Remember that ozone water may lighten the colors of clothes or dissolve some substances like polymers. For example, nitrile rubber cannot withstand ozone in any form.

13. Will there be any ozone residues on food if I rinse them with Hydzone's ozone water?
A: No, there won't be any residues, as ozone is completely removed. For example, grapes and pears that contain a lot of pesticides can be rinsed with ozone water and are immediately edible after ozone water rinsing without drying.

14. What temperature of tap water should be used?
A: You will get the best cleaning results by using cold tap water at about ten degrees Celsius. The warmer the water you use, the lower the total concentration of ozone and the shorter the half-life of ozone.

15. Can I use water from a river, lake, or sea?
A: Use only tap water. Never add any substances to the water. Adding substances may damage the device or lead to a chemical reaction.

16. How do I maintain the Hydzone ozone water bottle?
A: Clean the device by putting vinegar or citric acid solution in the bottle and let it sit for 15 minutes. The compounds of lime, iron, and manganese left on the electrodes will dissolve, and you can finally rinse the inside of the bottle with tap water. Cleaning is easy, and proper use of the device extends its lifespan so that you can enjoy its efficiency and safety for many years, always being able to trust that your Hydzone bottle is a reliable partner in ensuring your and your family's safety against pathogens. Never wet the outside surfaces of the bottle.

17. Should anything be added to the water?
A: Do not add anything else to the tap water when preparing ozone water. No substance can enhance the preparation of ozone water, but it can lead to device damage or a chemical reaction.

18. Can I be allergic to ozone?
A: Ozone is an atmospheric gas, and you breathe it in small amounts anyway. If ozone water causes you symptoms, stop using it and consult a doctor if necessary.

19. Does the use of ozone water destroy the atmospheric ozone layer?
A: It does not destroy it. At ground level, ozone is always unstable. It is a reactive molecule composed of three oxygen atoms. The ozone molecule, O3 , tends to react to form oxygen, O2.
