The most effective facelift without surgery
You have access to a completely unique treatment method for a facelift without surgery. HIFU (High-intensity focused ultrasound) is based on high-frequency ultrasound energy, which allows the impulse to effectively and precisely affect many different points in the layers of the skin.
The results of the HIFU treatment can be seen almost immediately, which is why it has gained great popularity both in Europe and the United States. HIFU has been in use at Kuulas since the fall of 2017, and our customers have been extremely satisfied with the results of the treatment.
Why does HIFU work?
Caretech HIFU technology is based on focused, high-intensity ultrasound energy that is precisely targeted to the desired SMAS depth (Superficial muscular aponeurotic system) in the tissue. In the tissue, ultrasound accelerates the renewal of skin collagen, which naturally tightens the skin. Ultrasound affects up to 4.5mm deep on the face, where normally only a surgeon's scalpel can reach.

Often, in the first discussion, we can already map out your starting point and whether Hifu is the right treatment for you. Sometimes the result may be to start tightening the skin and improving health with other treatments and possibly do Hifu in the future.
You can purchase your own HIFU treatment at Kuulas and book your time. We always conduct an assessment at Kuulas before performing Hifu. The price of the treatment is approximately 420-810 euros depending on the area to be treated.
HIFU treatment
The duration of one HIFU treatment session is 60-90 minutes, and the results can often be seen and felt immediately after the treatment. The final result is best between 2-3 months after the treatment. The treatment can be repeated three months after the first treatment.
Why Kuulas?
Kuulas is one of the most experienced HIFU treatment providers in Finland. Since the beginning of 2023, we have been using a new generation HIFU device.
Our starting point is safe and effective treatments at a reasonable price. We use a device whose components are selected and tested by the Finnish company Cosmedi Oy. The device is sold only to SKY cosmetologists, nurses, or doctors who undergo the distributor's training for using the device.
The treatment feels like a small tingling, and few find the treatment painful. None of our customers have interrupted the treatment due to pain.
After the treatment, strenuous exercise, sauna, sweating in general, or sunbathing are not recommended.
For some, Hifu may cause a slight redness on the treated area, but it subsides in less than half an hour. Rarely, but in some cases, small bruises have appeared.

You can apply makeup immediately after the treatment.
Some may see and feel significant results immediately. Generally, the effects gradually appear up to three months. The effect of Hifu gradually fades with aging. The interval for possible repeat treatments is largely determined individually and according to the customer's goals.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee certain results or that you will be 100% satisfied. The treatment is influenced by genetic factors and various deficiencies in the body. If you have not taken care of your body and skin in recent years, we recommend starting with other treatments at Kuulas first, preparing your skin to benefit more from the HIFU treatment.
After injection treatments, it is necessary to wait at least two weeks.
It is not recommended to perform Hifu at all in the area where there are fillers. A good order is to first undergo Hifu and then filler treatment.
We find it difficult to comment on the pricing of different companies, but at least make sure of the following:
- The person performing the treatment is a SKY cosmetologist, nurse, or doctor
- The person performing the treatment has attended training by the device manufacturer or importer. An untrained person can at worst cause damage.
- The device is preferably purchased from a Finnish importer and meets European safety standards. Our device is purchased from the Finnish company Cosmedi Oy. Please note that Hifu devices are sold, for example, from Chinese online stores, and these devices sold directly to consumers cannot be compared to those designed for professional use.
- The treatment is always performed at two different depths during one session. Sometimes special offers may only include one round, leaving the treatment incomplete.
